We have for sale a beautiful sterling silver Blue John double sided medium pendant. It has been beautifully hand crafted in Sheffield, England. In a large oval design, with a Celtic style bail, this pendant is set with a unique piece of Derbyshire Blue John and Malachite. A 20" sterling silver curb chain is supplied as standard, other lengths are available. This pendant has a Platinum Jubilee hallmark, with date letter X.
Blue John stone is a rare, semiprecious mineral, fluorite, found at only one location in the world. This is at Treak Cliff Cavern which is at the western end of Hope Valley near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.
Malachite is a spiritual stone, known for its green colours, and swirls. This stunning stone is considered to be a stone of transformation, used for deepenergy cleaning, bringing healing and positive transformation.
